Let me first start out by saying that until this past year I never really liked bacon. I know what you’re thinking, “how can someone not like bacon?!” In my defense, I’d only really had it on the side of eggs for breakfast and I’m much more of a pastry/cereal breakfast eater. I still don’t LOVE bacon by itself but I’ve been using it more in recipes and wow. As my friend Chad says; “it’s nature’s candy.” it really makes just about any recipe better. Why is something so delicious? It probably has bacon in it.
One of the best things about it is the smell. Everytime I fry up bacon I wonder why the Yankee Candle company hasn’t caught on and started selling bacon candles in their stores. I’d buy one. But then again maybe if we all had bacon candles we’d start salvating at our desks, be hungry all the time and gain 20 pounds. I still think I’d like to give it a try…
